Who manufactures the oil products that Harley Davidson uses?
I see and hear this question asked all of the time. I've used petro-based Valvoline or Castrol exclusively for decades with no problems. So with a little research I came up with the following. A few years ago, the refiner was Valvoline. Kendall preceded Valvoline. Valvoline, Kendall, Castrol %26amp; NAPA (Valvoline) are a few of the few companies that do not add paraffin to oil for cold-start lubrication but is also the stuff that puts excess black gunk in yer oil. I've been riding/building HD for over 48 years and one thing is for sure- No one I know now or in the past has ever used and stuck with Amsoil. Another thing to notice is that the Motor Company has never sued Amsoil for false advertising either.

Also note that Citgo is a Venezuelan company and that high quality synthetics prolong engine life of most motors that have good seals in them.
