How much of the US govt budget money comes from tax on petrol and related oil products?

how much money?

what percentage of the amount the govt gets is from this tax?How much of the US govt budget money comes from tax on petrol and related oil products?
Federal gas tax is $0.184 per gallon.

The U.S. uses about 400 million gallons per day

so figure 0.184 x 400 x 365 = ~$26 billion

Total government income for 2008 were about $2.66 trillion.

so only 1% came from the gasoline tax. (Another bit came from the diesel fuel tax, but less than the gasoline tax total.)

(Note that the government took $2.66 trillion, but paid out $2.9 trillion, so we went went $240 billion further into debt.)
